  • Dr. Casas is a Clinical and Police and Public Safety Psychologist in the State of Nevada [PY1089].

    She also holds a PSYPACT Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Psychology license [APIT 13450] that allows for the practice of virtual practice in 32 additional states:

    Dr. Casas completed an APA accredited pre-doctoral internship and two post-doctoral positions in multidisciplinary community mental health and Police and Public Safety Psychology in Nevada.

  • Dr. Casas provides treatment to people that have experienced trauma and its sequela, including problems with depression, anxiety, personality pathology, attachment and relationship problems, addictions, suicidality, and general life stress. She specializes in providing services to first responders and their family members.

    She holds a Certification as an Emergency Responder and Public Safety Clinician from the National Emergency Responder and Public Safety Center and has been approved by the Fraternal Order of Police as a Vetted Wellness Provider for Public Safety professionals.

    She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral and Trans-diagnostic approaches to assessment and treatment and is trained in:

    —Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (CBT; TF-CBT; DBT; CPT)

    —Behavioral Therapies including Exposure Therapies (BA; PE, WET; ERP; HR)

    —Trans-diagnostic Therapies (MI, The Unified Protocol (UP)

    —Suicide interventions (CAMS), safety planning

    —Parent-child dyadic interventions (PC-CARE)

    and more.

  • Dr. Casas has published 29 peer reviewed publications and five book chapter and has presented in over 15 national, regional, and local conferences on a variety of topics. She is an annual presenter for the Carson City Sheriff’s Office Crisis Intervention Training seminars.
