Finding Rest and Recovery

Rest and recovery are not optional.

Ignoring personal needs and pushing through to maintain an image or to meet work-related demands often produce opposite effects.

While you may feel in control, choosing to ignore your needs, we’ve all experienced how our bodies set limits, override plans, and force time-outs or time-off. Without proper attention, disorder and dysfunction ensure: burnout, compassion fatigue, depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress injuries become more likely.

You have to practice resting if you want to experience recovery and you have to make space for recovery if you want to sustain high performance and longevity in your work.

If you struggle to find space and time for rest and recovery, reach out to The Ridge today!
